For My New Home

I came to Singapore in 1999 to play for Tanjong Pagar United. I thought it would be for a year, but I returned in 2000 and never left. It’s been 24 years—almost half my life. To me, this is home.

Born in the former Yugoslavia and raised in Bosnia and Herzegovina, I finally found happiness in Singapore. This country gave me a home, a family, my football career, and a lifetime of memories.

From playing at the old National Stadium, winning the 2012 AFF Cup, to scoring over 300 goals—Singapore gave me so much. Now, as Principal of ActiveSG Football Academy, I give back by helping develop young footballers across 15 centres.

Singaporeans love football, and I hope to help produce future talents who will bring them joy.
