A New Sanctuary

For the ACRES Gala 2025, we were commissioned to produce a campaign film in support of “A New Sanctuary” — ACRES’ expansion project to improve rehabilitation spaces for rescued wild animals in Singapore.

Our approach was to reframe the story of expansion: not as a bid to house more animals, but as a commitment to giving the ones already in ACRES’ care the dignity, space, and environment they truly deserve. The narrative was built around a simple but powerful distinction — that ACRES is not just an animal rescue service, but a wildlife rehabilitation sanctuary.

The film journeys through the daily efforts of the ACRES team — from animal rescue and medical treatment to public outreach and education — before drawing the viewer into the heart of the challenge: the limited and constrained rehabilitation spaces that currently define the facility. It culminates with ACRES CEO Kalai sharing his vision for a sanctuary built not for quantity, but for quality of care.

Visually, the film leans into warm, natural tones — sunlit scenes, golden-hour lighting, and earthy palettes — with gentle pacing, intimate close-ups of wildlife in recovery, and wide shots that quietly reveal the need for change. The result is an emotive, dignified piece designed to deepen connection, inspire compassion, and move audiences to support ACRES’ vision for a better sanctuary.
